How we teach
One approach, across the school
Children learn best by doing, making, and asking questions. Our lessons are hands-on and built around real activities and questions, so a child understands an idea before writing it down.
Where it helps, we flip the classroom. Children encounter a new idea before the lesson, so class time focuses on using it, talking it through, and solving problems together.
Core subjects are taught in English, with Thai and Mandarin Chinese run as separate language classes throughout the week. Younger children absorb language through play, songs, and everyday routines while older classes use it in real tasks.
Children learn more by actively using ideas than by blindly memorizing or listening, but only with clear guidance. We teach a concept first, then have children apply it. We reinforce it with the methods that published scientific research most strongly supports, such as regular recall (retrieval practice) and spaced review.
Our core subjects are taught using academic materials from the internationally recognized Marshall Cavendish that align with the Ministry of Education’s guidelines.
English runs through the whole day, taught by native speakers. Our English follows the Anglia programme (England), aligned to the international CEFR framework, so a child’s level is measured against a recognized standard.
We keep the academic measures that matter; our learners consistently score above the national average on Thailand’s O-NET examinations, but we don’t judge a child on test scores alone.
Day-to-day, our teachers assess for learning: clear feedback and next steps as a child works, not just a grade at the end. Alongside academics, we track how each child is growing as a communicator, collaborator, and independent learner. It’s a fuller, fairer picture of your child on what they’ve mastered, what’s next, and who they’re becoming.
The journey through Sethavidhya
A single, guided path from age 2 to 12. Three stages with their own purpose, each building on the last, so every child moves up ready, confident, and never rushed.
Everything starts with feeling secure. In a warm, playful space, our youngest settle into a calm daily rhythm and learn mostly through activities, songs, and plenty of back-and-forth talk. This is where early language development happens, where their bodies grow stronger, and where a child takes their first confident steps in getting along with others.
Kindergarten is where a child learns to steer their own thinking. These are the peak years for focus and self-regulation (e.g. paying attention, remembering, waiting, adapting), which research links to later school success even more than early academics do. Through guided play and real conversation, we grow rich language skills, an early feel for numbers, and the emotional skills to name feelings, wait patiently, and see another point of view. Reading and writing begin gently, at the child’s pace, and by K3 we put real effort into a smooth, confident step up to Primary 1.
Primary is where curiosity becomes capability. Core subjects are taught in English through hands-on learning, with the level of challenge rising each year. Transitioning to Upper Primary, children move from “learning to read” to “reading to learn”, using strong literacy and numeracy to build genuine knowledge, think more logically, and take on harder problems. We grow independence, study skills, and the quiet pride of getting good at things. Finally, we keep every opportunity door open through Primary 6, whether a child is heading for an international school abroad or planning to thrive within Thailand’s secondary-school system.
SPARK is our new signature program for Primary levels. Each year, our young learners dream up, make, and share something real. Their work goes into a personal portfolio that grows with them from P1 to P6, finishing with a Primary 6 Launch Day. The value compounds year on year, so a student who stays the whole way ends up with six years of portfolio and real skills to show for it. That’s the goal of SPARK: to help raise a future-ready generation with future-proof skills.
