Sethavidhya School

One journey, three stages

One continuous path from age two to Primary 6. Here’s what each stage actually looks like, day to day — and how each one sets up the next.

Pre-School

These first years are about feeling safe, happy and curious. Days follow a gentle rhythm of adventures, stories, songs, outdoor time and rest; so young children feel secure enough to explore and try.

Most learning is hands-on and social; sharing, taking turns, and beginning to express themselves. Languages absorbed naturally through songs, routines and play rather than formal lessons. Our aim is simple: a child who comes in happy, settles easily, and starts to love school.

Kindergarten (K1–K3)

Kindergarten adds gentle structure to play. Across K1 to K3, children build the foundations: early phonics, first numbers and patterns, fine-motor control, mental focus, memory, patience, and the ability to manage their own feelings. Language grows quickly, with English woven through the day alongside dedicated Thai and Mandarin classes.

By K3, we deliberately raise the challenge with longer tasks and more independence, so the step into Primary 1 feels natural rather than sudden. Most parents notice a child who is more confident, more verbal, and more willing to explore new interests.

Primary (P1–P6)

Primary is where those foundations become real capability. Core subjects are taught in English through lessons that implement research-backed “learning by doing” and “flipped-classroom” methodologies, with the challenge rising each year. Early on, the focus is on securing strong reading, writing, and numeracy skills. As children move up, they shift from learning to read to reading to learn, using those skills to build genuine knowledge, reason more carefully, and take on more challenging open-ended problems. Furthermore, Thai and Mandarin Chinese continue as dedicated language classes throughout the week.

We focus on ensuring that our learners are not boxed in too early, while keeping every future pathway open for when they graduate from Sethavidhya. As the world changes rapidly, we believe that versatility in pathways and the ability to thrive in any environment are crucial. Whether our graduates end up in an international school abroad or Thailand’s own secondary system, we hope to enable the luxury of “choice” and keep every door of opportunity open.

SPARK, the future-ready programme at Sethavidhya School
Future-ready program

A six-year journey.

Alongside their core subjects, Primary students take part in SPARK — our program to raise a generation who can think, create and adapt to a world none of us can fully predict.

Dream · Make · Share · Grow
P1

Curious Makers

Turning their own ideas into simple real things.

P2

Story & Team

Making something for a real person, and telling its story.

P3

Problem-Solvers

Spotting a real problem and designing a solution.

P4

Smart & Savvy

Using tools wisely, including a first, gentle look at AI.

P5

Founders & Changemakers

Planning and running a real project with basic financial sense.

P6

Launch & Lead

A bigger real launch, mentoring younger years, presenting on Launch Day.

Because each year builds on the one before, SPARK rewards the whole journey: a child who moves through all six years leaves with a growing SPARK Portfolio and a body of real work that’s genuinely their own, something a single year simply can’t build. The program is designed around evidence-based research from world-leading institutions on how children learn and thrive, and it sits right at the heart of our promise to keep every opportunity door open.

SPARK is new. We’re introducing it in the upper-primary years first before rolling it out to every grade, so it develops right alongside your child. We’d rather build it well than rush it.
